  • The best option for home gym flooring is rubber. Rubber has many advantages that traditional flooring can’t offer. First, it’s very easy to clean. If you get any sweat on rubber, you simply need some soapy water to wipe it away. Second, rubber provides excellent cushioning for impact exercises, and is strong enough to support heavy weights and exercise equipment..

  • Rubber flooring looks best when laid on a beautifully smooth sub-floor, which is easily achieved with the right preparation work. (No underlay required!) If you are looking for an experienced fitter, we can help you. We have a list of installers who have done a lot of work for our customers and who we have found to be reliable – though please note these are independent tradespeople and as such we cannot take responsibility for their work or any arrangement you make with them .

  • Point-elastic Sports Floor:

a soft coating, often a mat over a hard surface, for example concrete. Recommended for smaller sports halls, nursery schools and activity areas.

  • Area-elastic Sports Floor:

a hard coating, for example wood installed on top of a flexible sleeper construction (underfloor). Recommended for sports halls with a focus on basketball when you want the best possible ball rebound you can get.

  • Combined-elastic sports floor:

in this case the floor has a flexible sub construction in combination with a point elastic coating, for examplet. Recommended for all types of gymnastics as well as sports halls adapted for any other exercise.

  • Rubber tiles are perfect if you don’t want your gym floor installation to be permanent. They’re also incredibly easy to install because they’re basically a giant jigsaw puzzle. Interlocking rubber tiles come in three styles: center, border, and corner. Center tiles have interlocking edges on all four sides, border tiles have interlocking edges on three sides, and corner tiles have interlocking edges on two sides. To install rubber tile flooring, you will need expert installers.
